BUGS Uniform Policy & purchase info
All BUGS students must wear a green or white top with a BUGS logo. The uniform must be on the outermost layer, for example, hoodie, sweater, fleece, etc. Students may wear clothing bottoms of their choice. All clothing items must adhere to the guidelines below:
All BUGS students shall avoid the exposure of the midriff, rear-end, cleavage, chest, and entire back.
Shorts, skirts, dresses, etc shall be long enough to cover the pelvis, the entire rear end, and the top of thighs while standing, stretching, sitting, and while actively participating in all classes, the garden, field study, or other school activities.
Students may wear sneakers, dress shoes, or sandals with back straps. For safety reasons, students may not wear flip-flops or slippers.
Hats and bandanas are not permitted in school with the exception of religious observance and fieldwork. Sunglasses are not to be worn in school.
Since students are regularly working in the garden and leaving the building for field study, it is important that their clothing is comfortable for the tasks and weather that day.
Note to Families! Avoid the Lost and Found! Please remember to label uniform tops and sweatshirts with your child’s name.
