BUGS Open House

Please reserve one ticket per family. We ask that you limit your party to four people.

The information session is designed for current 5th, 6th, and 7th-grade families who are interested in applying to BUGS for the 2020-21 school year. We look forward to showing you our school and sharing information about our program. You will also have the opportunity to meet school leaders, teachers, students, and families.

There are two session option formats to choose from. Please note that the presentation is the same for both sessions. The presentation will start promptly at 6 p.m.

Doors open at 5:20 p.m.

Option 1:

  • 5:20-6 p.m: Visit classrooms and speak to teachers and students

  • 6-6:40 p.m: Presentation by BUGS leadership team, students, and families (Presentation is the same for Option 1 and Option 2)

Option 2:

  • 6-6:40 p.m: Presentation by BUGS leadership team, students, and families (Presentation is the same for Option 1 and Option 2)

  • 6:40-7:30 p.m: Visit classrooms and speak to teachers and students

FAQs

What is the format of the event?

There are two, approximately one-hour session options to choose from. With Option 1, you visit classrooms and meet teachers and students and then attend the presentation at 6pm. With Option 2, you attend the presentation at 6pm and then visit classrooms and meet teachers and students. The presentation is the same for both options and will start promptly at 6pm.

What happens if I am running late?

The presentation will begin promptly at 6pm. You have the option of visiting classrooms after the presentation if you are running late.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Street parking is available. The F and G trains stop a few blocks away at 15 St - Prospect Park Station. The B61 and B67 bus stops are nearby.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Having your printed ticket speeds up the check-in process. But if you do not have it, we can check you in using the first or last name of the person who reserved the ticket
